 Overview

Super fun and incredibly stable, the Hobie Mirage Eclipse stand up paddle board is perfect for both advanced and beginner riders; it is also a great option for those who want to take fitness out of the gym and on to the water. The Eclipse's easy set up allows you to go from your car to the coastline in a flash. Rudder controls are located on the handlebars making steering a breeze. It features a kick-up rudder that allows you to keep your blade damage free even when the board is beached. Rear tie-downs and bungees offer the convenience of carrying a cooler, crate or any other necessities you may need for a day on the water. If you'd rather paddle, the Eclipse can transform into a high-performance SUP by simply removing the Mirage Drive and handle bar. Get the most out of your on water experience with the Hobie Mirage Eclipse.

  • Intuitive, stable Mirage powered SUP
  • Featuring: Gear tie-downs and a kick-up rudder
  • Steering controls on handlebar
  • Mirage Drive and handlebar can be removed so the board can be paddled

Comments:
Tested the Mirage Eclipse 12.0 the other day and it was a blast! The set-up process was quick and simple. I'm 5'9'' 125lbs and the 12ft board was very stable on the water, even with some choppy waves. Steering was intuitive - pull the left lever to go left, the right to go right - I always felt I was in control. The pedal system was exactly like a stairmaster workout but on water; you really start to feel the burn the harder and faster you step. Depending on where you placed your feet on the pads you could work different areas of your legs - stand further back and you work your calves, further up and work your quads. The Mirage Eclipse is a great way to stay active and fit and is a nice alternative to paddling a SUP if you have any shoulder or upper body ailments.
